Features and Benefits

Service Features & Benefits 
Local connectivity to the Cambridge University Data Network (CUDN) and the internet:
  • independent and local internet capability
  • locally maintained, supported and monitored
  • dedicated on site computer rooms part of the Managed Cluster Service / central Desktop Services
  • connections for high-speed internet access in student rooms (ResNet)
  • College-wide WiFi coverage supporting Eduroam and UniofCam

Configuration help and support is provided by local IT staff.

Service Availability

Service Availability 

Local Network Services are available 24/7 to all College members and guests.

Members can access the College wired networks via self-service once provided with their login details.

UniofCam requires a Raven password. Eduroam requires an initial configuration by the user's home institution.

Guest tickets for UniofCam WiFi are issued automatically for conference delegates by the Conference Office; other visitors may obtain a guest ticket via the IT Department.

The services are free of charge at point of use.

Monday - Thursday: 9am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 5.30pm
Friday: 9am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4.30pm
