Talks.Cam is a web-based talks-listing service for the University of Cambridge. It is primarily intended for staff and students of the University, but it is open to all. Its main aim is to help all research groups and societies throughout Cambridge to publicise their talks, and to help interested attendees discover them.

Features & Benefits aims to help all research groups and societies throughout Cambridge to advertise their talks and seminars. The site 

  • helps talk organizers to manage their event listings 
  • enables prospective attendees to discover interesting talks and to get reminders of when they occur 
  • provides tools to assist webmasters in displaying event listings on their websites.

The service aims to provide an intellectual overview of the activity of the University, unconstrained by the conventional boundaries between organisations.

The basic service is available instantly: users can browse the Talks.Cam website, subscribe to existing lists via the the electronic and embed content from existing lists into their own websites.

Creating an account allows customisation of the user experience. A Talks.Cam account is required for organizers who wish to create and edit event listings.
