The University Telephone System (UTS) is the University wide phone system managed by the Telecoms Office. The UTS is based around the Cisco CallManager VoIP phone system, with third party voicemail, audio conference, call logger systems.

The desk phones supplied and supported are Cisco handsets (both VoIP and analogue adapters - third party handsets are not supported); the mobile phone service is through O2. Various other services are also available such as audio conferencing, text messaging and pager service.

UTS also provides easy to use web systems which allows administrators or Telephone Liaison Officers (TLOs) to get new people up and running quickly and easily, without the need to contact the Telecoms Helpdesk.

Delivery lead time is more often than not immediate. It is, however, advised to receive confirmation from the appropriate Telephone Liaison Officer* during the ordering/support process.
