The University paging system coverage extends for a few miles from the city centre. Two types of paging unit are in use: numeric pagers and alphanumeric pagers.

The numeric pager will only display a numeric message. The alphanumeric pager can display a message of both letters and numbers.

There is also a management charge per pager of £2.00 plus VAT per month.
